From nursery-5th grade,
we are building a foundation in Jesus that lasts!

 (Matthew 7:24-27)

Bridge Kids has safe, friendly, and age-appropriate environments.

Sunday mornings at 9:30am for our Community Hour classes, we are using engaging Biblical curriculum, The Gospel Project.

Our classes are led by a team of loving and equipped teachers!

During our 11:00am service, we offer "Worship Care" for babies-pre-k and for our precious children with special needs.

First Visit

Find us in the brick building at Southbridge!

Walk between the buildings, enter through the glass door into the Bridge Kids lobby. Friendly faces will create a secure check-in for your child and show you to their classroom.
If your family has any questions or would like to see what a Bridge Kids environment looks like, reach out! We would love to meet!
Check-in
Our friendly team is ready to greet you!

We’ll collect contact information for relevant family members. Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code.

If for any reason we need to reach you during the gathering, you’ll receive a text. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick-up your child after gathering.
What to Bring
Babies-Pre-k: please ensure all bags, bottles, cups, snacks are labeled. This is very helpful for our volunteers and workers. Also helps us protect children with allergies. *A labeling station is provided for your convenience.*

K-5th: Bring your Bible and yourself!
Beyond Sundays
At Southbridge, we love incorporating Bridge Kids into family serving and missions opportunities, a local summer camp for fun and spiritual growth, worship and various opportunities for deeper spiritual discipleship.

We believe in equipping our parent's spiritual walk, as they are the primary influences in their children's lives! We would love for you and your kids to join our community!

About our Children's Minister

Meet Jessica!

My name is Jessica and I have been serving in next generation ministry for over 20 years.

I graduated from Georgia Southern with a BS degree in Human Development and Family Science and received a Masters in Christian Education. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I met my faithful husband of 20yrs, Chris, at Georgia Southern. Chris is a Campus Minister at GSU BCM and we have a fun and helpful daughter named Jordan.

In Bridge Kids we have a motto, "Building a Foundation that Lasts". This is based on Matthew 7:24-27. We know that "storms" in life will come, and we all face horrible difficulties at some point. Scripture shows us that if Jesus is our foundation, we will still face storms, but He can be our strength to "weather it".

We are foundation building in Bridge Kids! We do this through age-level Bible study and activities, intentional relationships with incredible teachers and peers and through many "on purpose" events throughout the year.

Join us this Sunday! I would love to welcome you and show you around!

Children in Worship Service

You may have noticed that school aged children (K-5th) attend our regular worship service with the rest of the church body.

We are thankful to attend a church where, while different parents pursue different options for their families, the church leadership is committed to family-integrated worship. Children are present with the congregation, get to hear the Word preached, and see and participate in the sacraments (Communion and Baptism).

We are comfortable with the extra wiggles and noise!
About our Family Room
The Family Room is in the worship center. It’s a space where parents can watch the live stream of the worship service in a more private environment.

In the family room, parents are preparing their children to become active participants in the worship service. Parents must be present with children in the family room. Diaper changing stations can be found in the men's and women's restrooms.

Special Needs Ministry

Every child is valuable to Jesus and deserves to participate on their level. In Bridge Kids, children are included in our “mainstream” classes and worship care. One-on-one helpers are provided when needed and possible. We desire for all children to know the good news that Jesus loves them.

Safety

We take lots of steps before kids arrive to keep them safe. Toys and sheets are cleaned. Every volunteer and worker is screened with an interview and federal background check. They are people that we know. Our whole team — from staff members to small group leaders to safety personnel — are trained to keep your kids safe.

Every classroom has at least two non-related adult leaders who have completed our volunteer orientation, comprehensive background check, and participated in training. In the event we need to contact you during the service, we will text the phone number you provided at check-in. Our building is locked during events and leaders often walk around the building for an extra layer of security. We love our families and take the responsibility of their safety with the upmost importance.

Our desire in Bridge Kids is that all would come to know, love and follow Jesus!
